In spite of repeated adjournments neither the petitioner nor his Counsel has appeared before this Court. Heard Mr. S. Karthikeyan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents. 4. Today, when the petition is came up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, on instructions would submit that after the registration of the case in Crime No. 331 of 2016 for the offence under Sections 454 and 380 of Indian Penal Code, so far, the person who committed the offence had not been secured by the respondent police. 5.

Now, on considering the said submission with relevant records, it seems that defacto complainant had lodged complaint alleging that 167 sovereigns of gold jewels has been stolen away and based on the said complaint, case has been registered in Crime No. 331 of 2016 in the year 2016. Therefore, the said circumstances reveals the fact that the petitioner is in a pathetic condition after losing 167 sovereigns of gold jewels. Hence, it is necessary for the respondents 1 to 4 to set up a special team for recovering the stolen properties. However, in this regard, the statement made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor reveals the fact that nothing has been recovered till now. 6. Therefore, this Court directs the third respondent viz. , the Inspector of Police (Crime), Sevvapet Police Station, Thiruvallur District to conduct investigation in the said case registered in Crime No. 331 of 2016 and recover the stolen properties as soon as possible and the second respondent viz.

, the Superintendent of Police, Thiruvallur District is directed to monitor the investigation made in the said case. 7.
