This Criminal Petition has been filed seeking to quash the proceedings against the petitioner-accused No. 3 in Crime No. 779/2014-15 on the file of the Prohibition & Excise Station, Gooty Circle, Anantapur.
This petition is pending since more than five years. The proceedings of the case indicate that there is no stay since the date of inception. In the absence of stay, the trial would be at fag end in the above case, however, keeping this petition pending is of no use. In view of the aforesaid consideration, while disposing of this petition, it is suffice to observe that the petitioner would be at liberty to raise all the relevant grounds and objections during the trial before the trial Court, if the case is still pending.
