Case No. 551/2020 arising out of Kaptipada P. S. Case No. 198/2020 has not yet commenced. Now the case is posted to 07. 01. 2025 for appearance of the accused namely Ananta Gajendra Mohapatra only out of 10 numbers of accused persons. ” 2. The accused persons are repeatedly seeking adjournments before the procrastinated. Therefore, finding no way out, the petitioner has approached this Court with a prayer for expeditious disposal of the trial. 3. Nothing is coming to the fore on record to establish as to whether the accused persons are indeed causing delay. Without delving upon the contentions raised by the learned counsel for the petitioner, I am of the view that, the criminal case of the present nature needs to be disposed of as expeditiously as possible, which is a constitutional mandate. 4. Therefore, the trial Court is directed to do well to see that the trial of the present case is concluded as expeditiously as possible. 5.

Neither the prosecution nor the defence shall be allowed to take unnecessary adjournments on any pretext henceforth that would curtail the further delay in the proceeding. 6.
