Petitioner Versus Govind Ramesh Lal Ahuja & Ors. ... Respondents ______________________________________________________ Mr. Karan Adik a/w Sangeeta Yadav i/by Maya Majumdar for the Petitioner. ______________________________________________________ CORAM : M. S. Sonak & Advait M. Sethna, JJ. DATED : 09 December 2025 P. C. :- 1. Heard. More than ample opportunities have been given to the Commissioner of Customs to serve the Respondents. Every time, we are given excuses which hardly inspire confidence. Still, we have been repeatedly granting time to the Commissioner of Customs to effect service upon the Respondents. 2. There are several modes of serving Respondents and we think that none of them are being adopted. Today, Mr.
Adik states that a copy of this Petition has been served upon the Advocate who was earlier appearing for the Respondents. This is hardly a valid service. No efforts have been made to even effect substituted service. 25-WP-5525-2021. DOCX 3. Considering all these circumstances and the opportunities granted to the Commissioner of Customs upto now, apart from expressing surprise that the Commissioner of Customs cannot effect such service, we dismiss this Petition for non-prosecution.
