The petitioner is an accused in connection with Thakurgangti P. S. Case No. 19 of 2020 registered for the offences punishable under section 147, 149, 188, 269, 270, 332, 353, 427 of the Indian Penal Code and further sections 52 of Disaster Management Act, 2005 and sections 3 & 4 of the Epidemic Diseases Act, 1897. It has been alleged that the accused persons were offering namaz in the mosque violating social distancing norms.
When the police tried to prevent them the mob resorted to stone pelting as a result of which some police personnel suffered injuries and the government vehicle was also damaged. The allegation appears to be general and omnibus in nature and the petitioner is in custody since 26. 04. 2020. Regard being had to the period of custody, the above named petitioner is directed to be released on bail, on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000 (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the st satisfaction of learned Judicial Magistrate, 1 Class, Godda, in connection with Thakurgangti P.
