Petitioner/s - Versus – Union of India .... Respondent/s BEFORE HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE MV MURALIDARAN 02. 12. 2020 Today when the matter is taken up, I heard Mr. Serto T. Kom, Ld. counsel for the petitioner and Mr. S. Vijayanand Sharma, Ld. counsel for the respondent. [2] This Review Petition has been filed by the petitioner for reviewing the order dated 15. 09. 2020 passed by this Court in which the prayer portion of the order reads as follows:-a) the writ petition is disposed of; b) the respondent is directed to dispose of the petitioner’s representation dated 20. 07. 2020 Page 1 within 2(two) months from the date of receipt of the reply from the Ministry of Women & Child Development, Govt. of Manipur.
[3] The case of the petitioner is that though the petitioner agreed to issue suitable direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner’s representation dated 20. 07. 2020 within a period of 2(two) months, but the petitioner’s case is that without waiting for any reply from the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Govt. of Manipur, based on the letter dated 15. 07. 2020 sent by the respondent, his representation alone be considered for disposal. [4] Mr. S. Vijayanand Sharma, Ld. CGC for the respondent represented before this Court that as per the order dated 15. 09. 2020 in the present writ petition in W. P. (C) No. 455 of 2020, they sent 2(two) reminders to the State Government and they are waiting reply from the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Govt. of Manipur. [5] Apart from this, Mr. S. Vijayanand Sharma, Ld.
CGC for the respondent represented that if this Court passes any order, they are ready to obey and to pass appropriate order/s as per the direction of this Court. Page 2 [6] Accordingly, I am inclined to pass the following orders: a) this Review Petition is allowed; b) the order already passed by this Court on 15. 09. 2020 in W. P. (C) No. 455 of 2020 is modified to the effect that the respondent is directed to dispose of the petitioner’s representation dated 20. 07. 2020 independently within a period of 2(two) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
