-------------------------------------------- W. P. (C) No. 34050 of 2024 --------------------------------------------th Dated this the 27 day of March, 2025 JUDGMENT The prayer in this writ petition is for a direction to the rd 3 respondent to register a Will executed by the petitioner. It is submitted that the registration was refused, stating that there is a difference in the extent which is stated in the document and in the purchase certificate. 2. According to the petitioner, the petitioner is in possession of 14. 57 Ares equivalent to 36 cents and the purchase certificate wrongly showed the extent as 14. 16 Ares. 3. This Court had directed the Government Pleader to get specific instruction on the above aspect. The Government Pleader has, along with a memo, produced documents which would show that though the purchase certificate was initially issued showing 36 cents as the extent of the property, a mistake has occurred while converting the 2025:KER:26799 WP(C) NO.

34050 OF 2024 3 same into Ares and only 14. 16 Ares was shown as the extent. An order dated 23. 08. 2024 issued by the Special Tahsildar correcting the extent as 14. 57 Ares has also been produced along with the memo. The order specifically says that the corrected order is to be treated as part of the Pattayam issued to the petitioner. In the above circumstances, this writ petition is rd disposed of, directing the 3 respondent to register the Will, taking into account the order dated 23. 08. 2024 whereby the correction has been effected with regard to the extent, if the petitioner satisfies all other conditions regarding the registration.
