JUSTICE A. GUNESHWAR SHARMA 25. 09. 2024 Present Ms. Gitarani, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Th. Sukumar, learned Government Advocate for the State respondents. By the present writ petition, the petitioner approached this Court for a direction to the State respondents for rectification of Academic Grade Pay (AGP) of Rs. 6000/- in place of Rs. 5000/- for the post of Foreman (Tech) in the Government Polytechnic, Takyelpat, Imphal. The petitioner has filed an application being MC (WP(C))553 of 2024 bringing on record the order dated 28. 08. 2024, one anomaly has been rectified and AGP of Lecturer in Govt Polytechnic/Lecturer (Mechanical) has been upgraded to Rs. 6000/- in place of Rs. 5400/-. Relevant part of Order dated 28. 08. 2024 issued by the Commissioner, (Hr. & Tech.
Edn), Government of Manipur is reproduced hereunder: “ORDERS BY THE GOVERNOR, MANIPUR Imphal, the 28. 08. 2024 No. 1/4/2012-SE (T): Whereas L. Manihar Singh, Foreman (Mechanical) Class-II Gazetted, Government Polytechnic was absorbed as Lecturer (Mechanical) Class- I Gazettd in the Government Polytechnic vide order No. 1/4/2012-SE (T) dated 6. 3. 2019 against the available 1 (one) post of Lecturer (Mechanical) in the pay scale of Rs. 15600-39100 AGP of Rs. 5400/- with immediate effect; .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. 12. Now, therefore, in partial modification of this Government order of even no. dated 06. 03. 2019, the Governor of Manipur is pleased to order the rectification in the pay in the BP-3: from Rs. 15600-39100, AGP of Rs. 5400/- to PB-3: Rs. 15600-39100 + AGP 600/- in respect of Shri L. Manihar Singh, Lecturer (Mechanical) Government Polytechnic, Imphal. ” In terms of para 12 of the Order, quoted above, prayer in the writ petition has become infructuous.
