The Petitioner is seeking pre-arrest bail in connection with G. R Case No. 1319 of 2025 pending in the Court of learned J. M. F. C. -II (Cog. Taking), Cuttack, arising out of Tangi P. S. Case No. 278 of 2025 for commission of offence punishable under Sections 303(2)/317(2)/3(5) of BNS read with Sections 11(1)(a)/11(1)(d)/11(1)(e) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act. 3. Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer. 4.
Taking into account the nature of allegations and the punishment prescribed, this Court directs that on surrendering within three weeks hence and moving for bail, the Petitioner shall be released on bail by the learned Court in seisin on such terms as deemed subject to verification of criminal antecedent of not more than one criminal antecedent of similar nature. 5. If it comes to fore that the Petitioner has more than one similar criminal antecedent, this order shall not be given effect to. 6. It is needless to state that the Petitioner shall cooperate with the ongoing investigation. 7. Accordingly, the ABLAPL stands disposed of. (V.
