The FIR, which has been registered against the wife of the deceased, is still at the investigation stage and the sole accused therein i. e Jagjit Kaur-respondent No. 4 has till date not been arrested. Notice of motion. On the asking of the Court, Ms. Bhavna Gupta, DAG, Punjab has put in appearance on behalf of the State through video conferencing and accepts notice.
She, on instructions from ASI Parshotam Lal, has stated that the proclaimed offender proceedings have already been initiated against Jagjit Kaur-respondent No. 4 and the same are going on.
