State of Manipur & ors. … Respondents B E F O R E HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE AHANTHEM BIMOL SINGH O R D E R 10-10-2024 Heard Mr. Anjan Prasad Sahu, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner; and Ms. Monomala, learned G. A. appearing for the respondents. In view of the limited prayer made by the counsel appearing for the petitioner and as agreed to by both the counsel appearing for the parties, the present writ petition is being disposed of at the motion stage itself. At the outset, Mr.

Anjan Prasad Sahu, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, submitted that the petitioner has submitted an application to the Commissioner (MAHUD), Government of Manipur, seeking for providing certified copy of the order disqualifying him from being a member of the standing committee of the Planning & Standing Committee, IMC. However, no positive response has been forthcoming from the Commissioner (MAHUD). The learned counsel submitted that the petitioner will be satisfied if the present writ petition is disposed of by directing the Commissioner (MAHUD) to consider the said representation and dispose of the same by passing appropriate order within a stipulated time. Ms. Monomala, learned G. A.

appearing for the respondents, fairly submitted that as the prayer of the petitioner is confined to the consideration and disposal of the representation submitted by him, she has no objection in disposing of the present writ petition as prayed for by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. In view of the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the parties, this Court is of the considered view that interest of justice will be served by disposing of the writ petition by giving the following directions:- (1) The Commissioner (MAHUD), Government of Manipur, is hereby directed to consider the representation dated 04. 10. 2022 submitted by the petitioner and to dispose of the same by passing appropriate order. (2) The whole process should be completed within a period of 2(two) months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of the order. With the aforesaid direction, the present writ petition is disposed of. JUDGE Indrajeet
