(Oral) The writ petitioner seeks for an appropriate writ, order or direction to direct the respondents to permit all the migrant workers, pilgrims, tourists, students and other persons, who are stranded at different places, to be permitted to come back to their home State of Uttarakhand. 2. Various interim directions have been issued by this Court, which have been complied with by the State. 3. Presently, it is brought to our notice that the Hon’ble Supreme Court is seized of the matter, relating to problems of stranded migrant workers throughout the country, in Suo Motu Writ Petition (Civil) No. 6 of 2020. The Hon’ble Supreme Court, we are told, is monitoring the aforesaid Writ Petition and various directions are being issued as and when necessary. 4. Under these circumstances, in view of the issues in question being considered by the Hon’ble Supreme Court, we do not think it is appropriate that the High Court should continue to entertain this Writ Petition and issue directions.

Even otherwise, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that substantial relief has been granted to him. 5. Be that as it may, in view of the pendency of the matter before the Supreme Court in Suo Motu Writ Petition (Civil) No. 6 of 2020, the present writ petition stands disposed off. 6. All pending applications also stand disposed off accordingly. (Narayan Singh Dhanik, J. ) (Ravi Malimath, A. C. J. ) 30. 07. 2020 30. 07. 2020 R. P.
