This matter was brought before this Court by the petitioner with a prayer to direct the respondent Meghalaya Energy Corporation Limited (MeECL), North Eastern Regional Power Committee (NERPC), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. , (PGCIL), for removal of the high tension electric pole and 33KV line, which skirts the premises, and land of the writ petitioner, as well as for re-construction of the boundary wall by the NERPC, which was damaged by a landslide. 2. When this matter was taken up on the last date, the NERPC (Respondent No. 15), has produced materials showing that the collapse of the boundary wall had also affected the portion of the residential quarters of the NERPC, and accordingly an estimate has also been prepared for repair of the same, which has since been sanctioned, and works is to be executed by the CPWD. 3. With regard to the other aspects, i. e. shifting of the high tension pole and 33KV line, it has been submitted by Mr. N.

Khera, learned counsel for the respondent No. 13, that the said high tension poles will be removed and the underground cabling works is underway, for which money has already been sanctioned, and works is to be executed by MeECL (Respondents Nos. 2-12). It is also submitted that the underground cabling is not primarily due to the incident as reported, but is part of regular course of upgradation and improvement of the operations of the respondent No. 13. The same is noted, by this Court. 4. In view of these developments, it appears that whatever grievances the writ petitioner had or harbored has been addressed. It is expected that the construction of the wall be completed expeditiously, as well as the other works for cabling or ducting, as seen in the materials placed before this Court. It is further provided that the parties are to cooperate in the execution of the works, and not to cause disruption, in any manner. 5. Accordingly, the matter stands closed and is disposed of.
