State of Manipur & 3 ors. …Respondent/s -B E F O R E- HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE AHANTHEM BIMOL SINGH 11. 11. 2024 Heard Mr. S. Biswajit, learned senior counsel assisted by Mr. Sanatomba, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and Mr. Niranjan Sanasam, learned GA appearing for the respondents. [2] In view of the limited prayer made on behalf of the petitioners and as agreed to by the learned counsel appearing for the parties, the present writ petition is hereby disposed of at the motion stage itself. [3] At the outset, Mr. S.
Biswajit, learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners have already submitted two representations dated 27-07-2024 and 29- 07-2024 for redressing their grievances to the Director General of Police, Manipur and that the said representations are still pending for consideration by the authorities. The learned senior counsel submitted that the petitioners will be satisfied for the time being if the present writ petition is disposed of by directing the Director General of Police, Manipur, to consider the said two representations dated 27-07-2024 and 29-07-2024 submitted by the petitioners on its own merit and strictly in terms of the applicable provision of law and to dispose of the same by issuing a speaking order within a stipulated period. [4] Mr.

[5] In view of the submission made above by the counsel appearing for the parties and on perusal of the records, this Court is of the considered view that the ends of justice will served by directing the Director General of Police, Manipur to consider the the said two representations dated 27-07-2024 and 29-07-2024 submitted by the petitioners on its own merit and strictly in terms of the applicable provision of law and to dispose of the same by issuing a speaking order within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. [6] Ordered accordingly.
[7] With the aforesaid directions, the present writ petition is disposed of. JUDGE Dhakeshori
