State of Manipur & 2 ors. …Respondent/s -B E F O R E- HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE AHANTHEM BIMOL SINGH 14. 11. 2024 Heard Mr. S. Rupachandra, learned senior counsel assisted by Md. Sahidur Rahman, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs. L. Monomala, learned GA appearing for the respondents. [2] In view of the limited prayer made by the learned senior counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and as agreed to by the learned counsel appearing for the parties, the present writ petition is hereby disposed of at the motion stage itself.

[3] At the outset, the learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that for releasing the remaining bill amount due payable to the petitioner’s husband, the petitioner had already submitted two representations dated 08-01-2024 and 05-11-2024 to the Chief Engineer, Irrigation & Flood Control Department, Government of Manipur and that the said representations are pending for consideration. The learned senior counsel submitted that the petitioner will be satisfied for the time being if the present writ petition is disposed of by directing the Chief Engineer, Irrigation & Flood Control Department, Government of Manipur to consider the said representations on its own merit and to dispose of the same by passing an appropriate order within a stipulated period. [4] Mrs. L.

Monomala, learned GA appearing for the respondents fairly submitted that as the prayer made on behalf of the petitioner is confined to the consideration and disposal of the representations submitted by the petitioner, she has no objection in disposing of the present petition as prayed for by the learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioner. [5] In view of the submission made above by the counsel appearing for the parties, this Court is of the considered view that interest of justice will be served by directing the Chief Engineer, Irrigation & Flood Control Department, Government of Manipur to consider the representations dated 08-01-2024 and 05-11-2024 submitted by the petitioner on its own merit and to dispose of the same by issuing an appropriate order. [6] Ordered accordingly. [7] It is made clear that the whole process should be completed within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.

[8] With the aforesaid directions, the present writ petition is disposed of. JUDGE Dhakeshori
