[2] The substantive prayer in all these writ petitions is for giving direction to the respondents to hold DPC for promotion of 13 vacant posts of Fishery Officers in terms of the existing Recruitment Rules by considering eligible candidates as per Rules and in terms of the Office Memorandum dated 15. 05. 2014. [3] Mr. M. Devananda, learned Addl. A. G. , has drawn the attention of this Court to the contentions of the counter affidavit to the effect that the Government is in the process of amending the Recruitment Rules for the Fishery Officers. [4] Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that writ petitions may be disposed of by passing an innocuous direction to the respondents to conduct the DPC for 13 vacant posts of Fishery Officers in terms of the Recruitment Rules and O. M. dated 15. 05. 2014. [5] Mr. M. Devananda, learned Addl. A. G. , is also agreeable to the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioners.
[6] Recording the submissions made at the bar, the writ petitions are disposed of with a direction to the respondents to initiate the process of DPC for promotion of 13 vacant posts of Fishery Officers within a period of 4 (four) months in terms of the Recruitment Rules and O. M. dated 15. 05. 2014. [7] With this observation, writ petitions are disposed of. [8] This Court does not express any opinion on the merit of the case. [9] Furnish a copy of this order to the learned counsel appearing for all the parties. [10] In terms of the above directions, misc. application being MC(WP(C) No. 313 of 2023 is disposed of.
