NAVEEN RAO CONTEMPT CASE No. 1315 of 2O19 ORDER Writ Petition No. 4l72l of 2018 was disposed of by order dated 08. 07. 20i9 granting three weeks time to the KUDA to take immediate steps to issue appropriate proceedings in compliance of the judgment rendered by this Court in Second Appeal No. 755 of 2013 and Batch, dated 27 . 10. 2014.

Alleging delay in compliance of the said direction, this contempt case is filed. 02. On 13. 10. 2020, leamed Senior Counsel appearing for KUDA represented that Interlocutory Application No. 1 ol 2O2O was fi1ed seeking extension of time of four weeks for compliance and if three weeks time is granted, compliance would be reported. Recording the same, matter was adjourned to 12. 11. 2O2O. Thereafter, the matter underwent four adjournments on the request of counsel for respondents on the ground of ill-health. Today, when the matter is taken-up, Iearned counsel for petitioners as well as learned counsel for respondents informs the Court that appropriate orders were passed on 05. 12 . 2O2O resolving the problem of the petitioners. However, learned counsei for petitioners sought to contend that in compliance of the undertaking given to this Court on 13. 10. 2020, orders ought to have been passed on or before 12. 11.

2020 and there is delay in passing orders and this delay is not explained satisfactorily. 03. No doubt, there is merit in what is contended by learned counsel for petitioners. However, having regard to the fact that orders are now complied, by expressing displeasure in the manner in which matter was handled by KUDA and warning to be careful -3- -) not to repeat such mistakes in future, this Contempt Case is closed.
