C. , seeking bail by the accused-petitioner, namely, Himanshu Das in connection with North Guwahati PS Case No. 12/2020, registered under Sections 366/376 of IPC. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, appearing for the State. Also perused the case diary including the statement of the victim.
The victim in her statement has supported the contention raised in the FIR that she was forcefully picked up by the accused person in a vehicle and there after he committed rape on her on consecutive four days. There is no such statement regarding the earlier relation between the parties as contended by the petitioner. The offence is under Section 366 and 376 IPC. Considering the nature of allegation and the statement of the victim girl, bail prayer stands rejected. Page No. # 2/2 In terms of the above, this bail application stands disposed of.
