AG and Mr. Wungpam Yangya, learned counsel appears on behalf of respondents. The present application has been instituted on behalf of the applicants praying as follows : “It is, therefore, prayed that Your Lodshsip’s be pleased to allow to reopen the above referred Contempt Case (C) No. 18 of 2016 to secure justice. OR To pass any other order or direction that the Hon’ble Court deems it fit and proper in the present Misc. Application.
” The assertion made on behalf of the applicant is that the contempt petition was closed exparte owing to the circumstances that the Advocate representing them did not appear before the Court on the date fixed. It is also urged that the contempt ought not to have been closed in view of the circumstances that the directions issued by this Court in WP(C) No. P a g e | 2 696 of 2015 (Md. Hasim Khan and Another Versus State of Manipur and 4 Others) vide order dated 05. 09. 2015 have not been complied with. Mr. M. Devananda, learned Addl. AG appearing on behalf of the respondents does not oppose the limited relief prayed for in the application. In view of the foregoing as well as reasons stated in the application, the same is allowed and the contempt is restored to its original number.
