C. , the accused-petitioners, namely, Jit Lal Chouhan and Smt Lilawati Devi have sought for bail in connection with RPF/POST/LMG Case No. 1(9)/2020, registered under Sections 3(a) of the Railway Property (Unlawful Possession) Act.
Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, appearing for the State. Also perused the materials on record. The accused petitioners were arrested on 10. 10. 2020 and statutory period has already completed. Page No. # 2/2 Having heard the submission of the learned counsel for the parties and considering the length of detention, it appears that further custodial detention of the accused persons is not warranted. Accordingly, the accused petitioners are hereby directed to be released on bail in connection with the case aforementioned on furnishing an amount of Rs. 20,000/- each with one suitable surety of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of the Special Railway Magistrate, Guwahati.
