26476 OF 2020(H) JUDGMENT st Dated this the 21 day of December 2020 The petitioners filed this Writ Petition seeking a direction to the respondents to sanction water connection to their property in Sy. No. 305/4 of Ernakulam Village and building therein by name “Anns Apartments”, by processing Ext. P3 application without insisting for the condition of payment of arrears etc. The petitioners also claim that the Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum, Ernakulam in Ext. P1 directed the respondents to issue fresh arrears bill to the petitioners taking the average consumption till 25. 06. 2010 and despite Ext. P1 order Water Authority did not issue any order. 2. The learned Standing Counsel for the Water Authority Sri. Benjamin Paul on instructions submitted that full and final settlement of the matter can be effected pursuant to Ext. P1 order on payment of a sum of Rs. 30,160/- and on such payment fresh water connection would be granted to the petitioners based on Ext.
P3 application as per Rules. This is recorded. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that payment would be made as submitted by the learned Standing WP(C). No. 26476 OF 2020(H) Counsel in full and final settlement of the matter in accordance with rules at the earliest point of time. The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. Sd/- P. V.
