has been filed seeking impleadment of the selected candidates who were selected by the State respondents during the selection process for filling up the posts pursuant to the Advertisement dated 15. 12. 2023. It is submitted that the present applicants had also applied for and were shown to be selected initially, however, subsequently their selection was cancelled and the candidates whose names are sought to be impleaded as party respondents are shown to be selected. Consequently, this Writ Petition has been filed putting to challenge the said selection and accordingly, the learned counsel submits Page No. # 5/6 that the candidates who were selected in place of the applicants would be necessary parties and, therefore, this I. A. has been filed seeking their impleadment as party respondents in WP(C)/122/2024. Mr. Moa Imchen, learned Senior Government Advocate appears on behalf of respondent nos. 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6. None appears for respondent no. 4.
Considering that this is an application for impleadment of 67 (sixty-seven) candidates who were selected in place of the applicants/writ petitioners, this Court considers that they are necessary parties and are required to be arrayed as party respondents in terms of the prayer made in the I. A. The order for impleadment can be passed in the absence of the counsel representing respondent no. 4 as respondent no. 4 is also arrayed in the Writ Petition and will get his opportunity to contest the Writ Petition by filing necessary pleadings. Considering the submissions made by the counsel, this I. A. stands allowed and disposed of. The names of persons from Serial no. 1 to 67 shown in the paragraph-3 of the I. A. as well as in the prayer portion of the I. A. are arrayed as party respondents after respondent nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 in WP(C)/122/2024. The applicants will file the amended Cause Title within one week from today in the Registry along with a copy of this Order.
