Cybercrime Complaint Statement A factual statement for the appropriate police or official cybercrime reporting channel. It does not itself create an FIR, and portal procedures depend on the incident and jurisdiction. Evidence preserved and location of originals: [describe without altering the files]. 4. Reporting already undertaken and urgent assistance required: [bank, 1930 or portal references, where applicable]. Remove it from the submission copy after adapting the draft. Do not send unfilled placeholders or invented facts.
For urgent financial cybercrime, use the bank fraud channel and 1930 promptly; do not wait for a polished written statement. BNSS section 173 addresses information about cognizable offences irrespective of the area of commission. Electronic information must meet its signature requirement within three days to be taken on record. A general website acknowledgement and an FIR registration number are different records. Follow the police instructions and request the applicable acknowledgement or copy. Do not publish victim identities, passwords or private evidence online. Preserve originals and ask the investigating officer how to supply them securely. This is an original LawSphereX editable aid based on the references below. It is not a government-issued form, certification, legal opinion or promise that a request will be accepted. Where an authority prescribes a form, use that current form.
