Identify the authority holding the record before submitting. The Central RTI Online portal does not accept State Government RTI requests. Replace every bracketed field. Keep requests focused and list existing records, not questions demanding a fresh investigation or opinion. The official portal accepts a supporting attachment when the request text exceeds its field limit. Follow its current file and payment instructions. Keep the submitted request, payment proof and registration or postal delivery record. Do not add Aadhaar or PAN merely as a routine attachment. This is an original LawSphereX editable aid based on the references below. It is not a government-issued form, certification, legal opinion or promise that a request will be accepted. Where an authority prescribes a form, use that current form.
